Breaking down Danny Amendola's $2.5 million contract

Texans veteran wide receiver Danny Amendola's one-year, $2.5 million contract includes a $250,000 signing bonus, according to NFL Players Association records.

Amendola has a $1.25 million base salary, and a maximum of $300,000 in per game active roster bonuses if he is up for every game. That's payable in $17,647 per game.

Amendola has an additional $700,000 in incentive clauses.

“I’m blessed," Amendola saidFriday afternoon. "Spent a lot of time playing here in Texas growing up. Pop Warner, high school ball, college ball. I am the son of a Texas high school football coach, so Texas football is definitely in my blood.”
