The Texans officially ruled out embattled Pro Bowl quarterback Deshaun Watson for non-injury reasons-personal matter.
Watson has a standing trade request with no deal developing or imminent, according to league sources not authorized to speak publicly.
Watson, the NFL's passing yardage leader last season and a three-time Pro Bowl selection who has a no-trade clause in his $156 million contract, is facing 22 civil lawsuits and 10 criminal complaints alleging sexual assault and/or sexual misconduct.
The Texans ruled out safety Lonnie Johnson Jr. due to a lingering quadriceps injury.
The Texans listed defensive end Jon Greenard as questionable with a sprained ankle. He was downgraded to not practicing after being limited previously. The Texans listed starting linebacker Kevin Pierre-Louis (thigh) is questionable and hasn't practiced the last two days.
The Texans upgraded defensive tackle Maliek Collins (knee) and defensive end Whitney Mercilus (Grade 1 hamstring strain) to full participation.
