The Texans are working out veteran wide receiver Donte Moncrief, according to a league source not authorized to speak publicly.
The Texans also worked out defensive back Grayland Arnold, offensive guard Jake Eldrenkamp, linebacker Sharif Finch, defensive end Josh Mauro and defensive end Jason Stowbridge.
Signed during the offseason to a one-year, $2 million contract, Moncrief was released by the Texans at the start of training camp with a non-football injury designation.
A former Indianapolis Colts third-round draft pick from Mississippi, Moncrief caught one pass for 15 yards in six games last season for the New England Patriots. For his career, Moncrief has 205 receptions for 2,576 yards and 21 touchdowns. Moncrief, 27, caught 48 passes for 668 yards and three touchdowns in 2018 with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
