Texans' Terrence Brooks designated for return

Texans veteran safety Terrence Brooks was designated for return from injured reserve as he returned to practice Monday. He was placed on injured reserve with a lung contusion that caused him to be hospitalized in Indianapolis as he remained there overnight under observation after getting hurt in a loss to the Colts.

Brooks has played in six games this season with one start, recording six tackles.

Brooks has 108 career tackles and four career interceptions since being drafted in the third round by the Baltimore Ravens out of Florida State. He has also played for the New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles.
