In an effort to boost season ticket sales and retention, the Texans announced a redefined season ticket membership plan.
The Texans are 4-12 this season with one game remaining after going 4-12 a year ago and firing coach and general manager Bill O'Brien and hiring coach David Culley and general manager Nick Caserio this past offseason. And there have been a lot of empty seats this season at NRG Stadium.
That includes reduced ticket pricing for the 2022 and 2023 seasons based on tenure of season ticket ownership when a member renews early.
It includes flexible renewal deadlines and payment plan options, an opportunity to swap tickets between games, exclusive discounts on concessions and team shop merchandise and exclusive access to the team through special events.
The team posted a video on its website (www.houstontexans.com) and stated: "In response to your feedback, we have redefined what it means to be a Season Ticket Member. Make sure to renew early for the best savings, flexibility and benefits we have to offer!"
The video shows a Feb. 4 date for the best renewal prices.
“We are always looking for ways to evolve to do what is best for our Season Ticket Members,” Texans team president Greg Grissom said in a statement. “Together, our conversations led us to redefine what it means to be a part of the Texans family by offering new savings, more flexibility and better benefits. In 2022, Season Ticket Members will experience first-time renewal incentives, exclusive benefits and yearlong rewards to express our gratitude for their loyalty.”
