Sources: Texans to hire offensive line coaches George Warhop, Hal Hunter

The Texans are expected to hire George Warhop as offensive line coach and Hal Hunter as assistant offensive line coach, according to league sources not authorized to speak publicly.

Warhop, 62, coached last season for the Jacksonville Jaguars under since-fired coach Urban Mayer and wasn't retained by new coach Doug Pederson.

Warhop has coached the offensive line for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Cleveland Browns, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Arizona Cardinals and St. Louis Rams.

Warhop has coached collegiately at Kansas, Vanderbilt, New Mexico, Southern Methodist University and Boston College.

Hunter, 62, has coached for the New York Giants, Cleveland Browns, Indianapolis Colts and Chargers,.

He was head coach at LSU for one game, a 35-10 win over Arkansas when Gerry DiNardo was fired before Nick Saban was hired in 1999.

He has also worked at William & Mary, Pitt, Columbia, Indiana (Pa.), Vanderbilt, Indiana and North Carolina.
