The Texans are signing linebacker Jaylen Reeves-Maybin to a two-year, $7.5 million contract with $5 million fully guaranteed and a maximum value of $9 million, according to a league source
The former Detroit Lions second-round draft pick from Tennessee had his four-year, $3.01 million contract expired in 2020 and he played last season under a one-year contract.
Reeves-Maybin recorded 79 tackles, four tackles for losses, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery and four passes defensed.
Reeves (6-foot, 230 pounds) has run the 40-yard dash in 4.68 seconds.
The Texans previously re-signed linebacker Christian Kirksey.to a two-year, $10 million contract.
