Texans cut defensive end Ron'Dell Carter

The Texans released defensive end Ron'Dell Carter.

Carter had been signed to a deal that included a $10,000 signing bonus a $10,000 workout bonuses and a nonguaranteed $895,000 base salary.

The Texans are expected to bolster the defensive end position in the draft.

Carter is a former Dallas Cowboys undrafted free agent from James Madison University.

Signed off the Arizona Cardinals' practice squad last year, Carter has also played for the Indianapolis Colts.

Carter made his Texans debut in a 41-29 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers.
