The Houston Texans and the New England Patriots conducted some business Monday, agreeing to a trade in advance of the NFL draft.
The Texans and Patriots have agreed to a trade with the Texans acquiring a fifth-round draft pick (170th overall) from New England in exchange for sixth-round (183rd) and seventh-round (245th) selections from the Patriots, according to a league source.
Texans general manager Nick Caserio is a longtime former Patriots executive who joined the AFC South franchise a year ago after earning six Super Bowl rings in New England as the primary lieutenant to Patriots coach Bill Belichick.
