We all know that deep down the Yankees know who their daddy is, and that is of course the Houston Astros. The games between the two this season have been fairly close, but really felt like they have been dominated by Houston. Well their owner Hal Steinbrenner has finally decided to admit that the team with the best record in the league so far this season is actually worried about the reigning American League Champions in Houston. Here is some of what he said according to the New York Post.
"“We all need to be concerned about Houston,” the Yankees managing general partner said on a Zoom call Wednesday. “They’re a very good team. The games we’ve played so far have been close, for the most part. It’s gonna be a challenge, but it’s gonna be a challenge for them, too, make no mistake.”"
It will be very interesting to see how both teams attack the trade deadline to beef up for potentially seeing each other again down the road. Expect to see more movement on the Yankees side of things instead of the Astros.
