The Astros sent out the following release to the media today.
HOUSTON, TX – Houston Astros outfielder Michael Brantley underwent an arthroscopic labral repair on his right shoulder, General Manager James Click announced today. As a result of the surgery, Brantley will miss the rest of the season.
Brantley has been on the Injured List since June 27 with the shoulder injury. Prior to being sidelined, he hit .288 in 64 games with 14 doubles, five home runs and 26 RBI with a .785 OPS. He has spent the last four seasons (2019-22) with the Astros, earning two All-Star selections while hitting a combined .306 in 379 games with an .832 OPS.
