Report: Astros Moving On From Long-Time 3rd Base Coach Gary Pettis

According to Bob Nightengale, the Houston Astros are not renewing the contract of long-time third base coach Gary Pettis. Pettis had been with the Astros since the 2015 season, working under the tenure of three different managers in AJ Hinch, Dusty Baker and Joe Espada.

Pettis was part of both the Astros 2017 and 2022 World Series teams, and has been an MLB coach for 27 years, serving a decade in Houston.
