Stan Norfleet and Chris Gordy of Next Up recap Super Bowl LVIII that saw the Kansas City Chiefs defeat the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in overtime at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
The Chiefs became the first back-to-back Super Bowl champions in 19 years and earned their third Super Bowl victory in five seasons.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes obtained his third Super Bowl MVP and became one of five quarterbacks in league history to win at least three Super Bowls. Troy Aikman and Mahomes are the only quarterbacks to win three before their 30th birthday. Will Mahomes be able to catch Tom Brady to become the greatest quarterback of all time?
The 49ers lost the 2020 Super Bowl rematch, and head coach Kyle Shanahan moves to 0-3 in Super Bowls.
With the conclusion of the NFL season, Stan and Chris look forward to next season and predict whether Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud will be able to compete against Mahomes.
