Running backs Joe Mixon and Dameon Pierce returned from injury and each rushed for a touchdown. "When they have a running game... they're a different kind of team," Wilson said.
The offense rushed for 192 yards against the Patriots, but the established run attack opened up the field for the passing game, with Stefon Diggs recording six catches for 77 yards and a touchdown and Tank Dell bringing in seven receptions for 57 yards and a touchdown.
Houston's top receiver Nico Collins was placed on injured reserve with a hamstring injury and is expected to be out four weeks; however, "they have enough weapons with Stefon Diggs and Tank Dell to get it done."
As the Texans prepare to take on the Green Bay Packers in Week 7, the NFL announced Monday that defensive tackle Mario Edwards Jr. has been suspended four games without pay for violating the league's substance abuse policy. Without an appeal, Edwards will be eligible for reinstatement on November 1. "Currently, he is suspended. I don't expect it to be overturned."
With one defensive lineman out, another one comes back as Denico Autry will return from his six-game suspension against the Packers. "What a defensive line they've assembled even without Mario Edwards."
