One of the best relievers in baseball in 2018 will continue to call Houston home for the next three seasons. Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle has reported that the Astros and Pressly have agreed to a two year extension worth 17.5 million dollars, the largest contract ever handed out to a relief pitcher that is not a closer. The extension kicks in for the 2020 season. Pressly and the Astros avoided arbitration earlier this winter settling at 2.9 million for his 2019 salary.
