Breaking Down the Biggest Takeaways From the Rockets 2019-20 Schedule

The Houston Rockets on Monday officially released their entire 82-game schedule for the 2019-20 regular season, with the new backcourt pairingof 2018 MVP James Harden and 2017 MVP Russell Westbrook driving significant league-wide interest.

The season kicks off at home on Thursday, Oct. 24 with a showdown involving the last three MVP winners, as Houston hosts the Milwaukee Bucks and 2019 MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Bucks had the NBA’s best record last season at 60-22.

Nationally televised on TNT, that game will also serve as the home opener at Toyota Center for Russell Westbrook.

The opening homestand concludes with games on Saturday, Oct. 26 and Monday, Oct. 28 versus New Orleans and Oklahoma City, respectively. The former will be just the second career game of 2019 No. 1 overall draft pick Zion Williamson, while the latter will be the first return of Chris Paul to Houston since the Paul-Westbrook trade.
