Team Ferrari Can't Seem To Get Out Of Their Own Way.

For F1's most successful team, the last few weeks have been sort of a let-down for Ferrari. From engine failures to bad strategy calls, this team has struggled to find any sort of consistency at all. Last week at Circuit Paul Ricard in France, Charles Leclerc appeared to be on the right track to a victory and some much needed points. The car had such great pace that even Max had to lift and let him go at the beginning of the race. Unfortunately for him, on lap 18 he crashed out in turn 11 while leading. This is the third time this season that he has crashed out whilst leading. Because of these DNF's he has now left a whopping 75 points on the table. This would be absolutely massive considering he's 63 points behind Max Verstappen right now for the championship. With Leclerc by the wayside, his teammate Carlos Sainz needed to pick up the slack and appeared to be on his way to a podium finish, but race strategist Ravin Jain decided to make the head-scratching call to call him to pit with 11 laps left which relegated him to sixth. Even when one wins a race, the other finds trouble. At Austria, Charles Leclerc was able to take the victory but Sainz would have engine issues that would set his car ablaze. It's clear that, right now, this team and their number one driver Charles Leclerc are not championship material. The talent is there but he can't seem to finish like his rival's Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton have in the past. He will need to be perfect in the remaining eleven races to have any chance at a championship.
