NASCAR News Round-Up

Today was a huge NASCAR News day as there were three major news items that dropped. There is a lot to unpack, so here are all the biggest storylines announced today.

Kurt Busch is out at Indy with a concussion:

The news broke this afternoon that Kurt Busch would miss his second consecutive race this weekend at Indy. Ty Gibbs will continue to substitute for him after his respectable 19th place finish last week at Pocono. This has led to speculation that Busch could be retiring earlier. Hopefully, Kurt is able to recover and continue racing.

Camping World Out as Title Sponsor of the Truck Series in 2023:

This is another headline that no one wants to see as Marcus Lemonis announced he will be ending his 14-year partnership with the truck series at the end of this season. Let's hope NASCAR is able to find a way to find sponsorship for this series as it has some of the best racing in the sport. On the bright side, NASCAR is reported "Down the line with a replacement sponsor" According to Adam Stern (Sports Business Journal)

Richard Childress Racing teasing a new driver?:

As we all know Tyler Reddick is leaving RCR at the end of the 2023 season but now it appears that there is a chance that we could see an early exit. The team tweeted out a picture of a driver silhouette and the date 08.02.22. Many speculated who the driver was but it appears to be their Xfinity Series driver Austin Hill although that's not been confirmed. This news is sure to shake up the racing world when it's announced next Tuesday.
