Houston Rockets head coach Ime Udoka joins The Matt Thomas Show to recap the 132-129 loss to the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday.
Guard Fred VanVleet was missing from the lineup due to a left adductor strain, and Udoka breaks down the strategy moving forward without the veteran on the court. Younger players "play with a different pace," Udoka said. "We really zero in on transition offense," try "to capitalize on 3-on-2 breaks" and "kick out to shooters to get easy baskets."
Udoka gives an update on VanVleet's injury, saying that it "looks like he's out for the rest of the road trip," and also the Rockets position with only a day away from the NBA trade deadline.
The Rockets will travel to Toronto to take on the Raptors on Friday.
