Matt Thomas and Ross Villarreal of The Matt Thomas Show review the Houston Rockets 105-103 victory over the New York Knicks which ended in controverisial fashion. The Rockets and Knicks were tied at 103-103, but Knicks guard Jalen Brunson fouled Aaron Holiday on a desperation three-point attempt, sending Holiday to the free throw line. Holiday made two out of three free throws, intentionally missing the third, causing time to expire for a Rockets' win. The Rockets will travel to Memphis for a matchup against the Grizzlies on Wednesday.
Over the weekend, the WM Phoenix Open was met with bad weather, large crowds and security issues, leaving the tournament to shut its gates and halt alcohol and food sales. Organizers are already calling for changes ahead of next year's tournament due to the chaos.
