Behind dominant pitching, the Houston Astros blanked the New York Yankees 5-0 on Saturday night to go up 3-0 in the ALCS.
Cristian Javier was dominant, going 5 1/3 innings allowing no runs with just one hit with five strikeouts. Hector Neris, Ryne Stanke, Hunter Brown, Rafael Montero and Bryan Abreu all worked scoreless frames the rest of the way.
The Astros grabbed a 2-0 lead in the 2nd when Chas McCormick hit a 2-run homerun off Yankees starter Gerrit Cole. In the 6th, Trey Mancini hit a sac fly, before Christian Vazquez came up with a two-RBI single to make it 5-0 Astros.
