Jose Abreu added a run on an RBI single in the 5th, while Chas McCormick added another run on an RBI single to make it 5-0 Astros.
Justin Verlander was outstanding for the Astros, pitching six scoreless innings, allowing no runs off four hits with three walks and six strikeouts. But things got hairy in the 7th, as the Twins hit back to back homeruns off Hector Neris to cut the deficit to 5-4 Astros.
Yordan Alvarez would hit a second homerun of the game in the 7th to extend the lead to 6-4 Astros.
Bryan Abreu would work a scoreless 8th, while Ryan Pressly shut things down in the 9th.
