According to Jason Bristol of KHOU, Atlanta braves third base coach Ron Washington is interested in Houston Astros' open manager position. Washington was the manager of the Texas Rangers back in 2010 and 2011 when they reached the World Series in both seasons. Washington is 71 years old.
Washington has been an assistant for the Atlanta Braves the past few years and won a World Series with the Braves when they defeated the Astros in 2021, and presumably knows Astros GM Dana Brown from their time together in Atlanta.
