According to reports, Houston Astros utility man Mauricio Dubón won his arbitration case on Tuesday. Back in January, the Astros did not come to an agreement with Dubón as he was asking for $3.5 million and the team countered at $3 million. Reports say Dubón will get the $3.5 million he was asking for.
When the Astros went to arbitration with several players in January, they quickly came to agreements with Framber Valdez, Kyle Tucker, Jose Urquidy, Chas McCormick, Luis Garcia and Bryan Abreu, with Dubón the only player they could not come to an agreement with.
In 2023, Dubón was a finalist for the Gold Glove at two different positions in second base and as a utility player, and was awarded the Gold Glove as a utility player, becoming the first ever Honduran player to win the award.
