Astros first baseman Jose Abreu could potentially rejoin the big league club sometime this week, as early as Friday in Oakland according to GM Dana Brown.
Abreu has been down in Florida for several weeks working on fixing his mechanics and retooling his swing. Meanwhile, Jon Singleton has done a nice job of holding down first base both offensively and defensively.
