Houston Astros Manager Joe Espada spoke to the media ahead of Wednesday's game, and was asked about slugger Jose Abreu, who continues to work down at the Spring Training complex in West Palm Beach. Espada said Abreu will continue to play games in the Florida Complex League on Wednesday and Thursday, and will likely join the Space Cowboys in Sugar Land starting Friday.
If all goes well in games in Sugar Land, Abreu could rejoin the team at some point this weekend in Oakland, or early next week in Seattle.
