As the MLB Winter Meetings continue this week in Dallas, the saga of Alex Bregman's free agency continues on. Earlier this week, we heard from Astros GM Dana Brown and Manager Joe Espada regarding negotiations with the free agent third baseman.
On Wednesday morning, Bregman's agent Scott Boras spoke with the media and gave the latest updates on negotiations.
On talks with the Astros, Boras said, "Dana and I continue to talk and we’re making every attempt. We know that Breggy plays really, really well there with a great group of teammates and remarkable history that few teams enjoy. We continue to talk about it.”
Will we get resolution on a Bregman decision sometime this week? Multiple reports say the Boston Red Sox are still very interested, as are the New York Yankees and Detroit Tigers.
