You know the story. A fan-favorite Astro from 2015 - 2021, Carlos Correa became a free agent in the offseason and made a deal to leave the team for the Minnesota Twins. It actually just became official this morning that his time with the Twins is done and he's back on the market.
Their first season without him, the Astros won the World Series. Jeremy Peña, his replacement at short stop was named World Series MVP.
It had to hurt. And fans didn't do anything to ease the pain on social media. As Sports Illustrated Fan Nation points out, they immediately started cranking out memes and lighting him up on Twitter.
