The Astros earlier today announced that set-up man Ryan Pressly would be heading to the injured list, with a lower back strain. In his place on the roster, the Astros have recalled Seth Martinez from Triple-A Sugar Land.
Joe Espada met with the media before tonight's game, to talk about why the Astros decided to put Pressly on the shelf.
Espada also talked about Kyle Tucker taking on-field batting practice today, as he tries to return from a shin contusion. Tucker has been out since early June, when he left a game again the St. Louis Cardinals, after fouling a ball off his right shin.
The Astros manager also talks about where things stand with Ronel Blanco, after he took a hard hit ball off his pitching hand, against the Tampa Bay Rays in Florida. He also gives an update on Alex Bregman, who missed last night's game with swelling in his right elbow.
